Aon — .NET / Angular modernization and Azure migration
From October 2019 to December 2021, I worked as a Full Stack .NET / Angular Engineer on a health and employee-benefits platform used across the group.
Context
The existing platform relied on legacy technologies including WebForms and VB, while business and regulatory modules remained active in production.
Challenge
The Azure migration required progressive modernization of both frontend and backend without interrupting existing business obligations. The work therefore combined application redesign, data access, external API integration and hosting migration.
Technical contribution
- Rebuilt a bank-accounts module and customer portal with Angular and a .NET Core API.
- Migrated an customer portal from IIS to Azure.
- Implemented a social-declaration module and automatic tax-rate synchronization through public tax-administration APIs.
- Built an extraction job for actuarial teams and stored procedures integrated through Dapper.
Impact
The work moved a historical platform toward a more modern architecture and Azure hosting while continuing to meet existing business and regulatory obligations.
